Episode 29 - Is This Thing On?

As it turned out, no, it wasn't. Yep, Ron screwed up again and managed to record the show using just his laptop's mic. What a dick.

We had a chat about some of the TV shows we've been enjoying (or otherwise) in recent years, and then PJ and Ron reviewed Casanova and The Sword.

PJ makes some correct points about comic writers working on dodgy daytime TV. Si Spencer was a staffer on THE BILL as well as EASTENDERS. David Bishop writes for DOCTORS, and Pete Milligan wrote for the relaunched CROSSROADS, including coming up with the ultra-wacky ending when it was cancelled (it recently reached the BBC's list of TV's most bizarre endings: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment_and_arts/10119759.stm).>Also, I loved CASANOVA, but realise a lot of its ideas are nicked from Moorcock's Cornelius Quartet.

Also: The Pander Bros. drew book 2 of GRENDEL, Los Bros Hernandez drew Dean Motter's MISTER X.
